This is not a course about persuasion or sales techniques-- those aren't sustainable. This course will provide tools, techniques, and practices to help you become the kind of leader that people want to follow for the long term.Self-awareness is the secret ingredient for success in the 21st century. People who understand who they are—and how they’re seen—make smarter choices, build better relationships, enjoy more successful careers, and live better lives. Of course, most people intuitively know this, but getting there can feel easier said than done.In my team’s multi-year research program on self-awareness, we learned that even though most of us think we’re self-aware, this skill is in remarkably short supply. Why? In so many cases, the conventional wisdom around self-awareness is flat-out wrong. In fact, so much of what people think improves self-knowledge can have the opposite effect!The good news is that self-awareness is an infinitely improvable skill. If we can avoid the roadblocks and apply the right tools, we can unlock a whole new level of self-knowledge. This is why I wrote Insight: to help you know yourself—and how others see you—a little bit better, and in so doing, make big improvements in your career and life. It’s gratifying that my book Insight has been helpful to so many leaders, coaches, and professionals around the world—it’s being translated into 8 languages and counting.
