About this course

My course is structured in 3 main modules and is easy to follow, consisting mainly of videos and images. It is taught at a moderately slow pace so you can follow it with ease. It will be assumed that you can speak English and another language before taking this course.  However, if this does not apply to you, you are very welcome to take the course out of curiosity! My goal is to provide you with a great learning experience where you feel that you learnt something valuable and that it was worth your time. So, in a nutshell, what will you exactly achieve by taking my course?You will gain insight into what's it like to be a professional interpreter from the lens of someone who made a career out of it, combining master level education in the translation and interpretation industry with extensive experience. Learn about the numerous aspects of the interpreter's job that are exclusively based on professional interpreting experience and that are not easily accessible elsewhere. The course will help you gain a clear understanding about what is expected of interpreters, as well as how to deal with potential issues that may arise during the course of your work and how to conduct yourself professionally during a meeting where you act as an interpreter.You will have access to a valuable resource, namely the glossary with terminology and tips and techniques on how to translate terminology, an important part of the interpreter's daily work. Minimum 3 lectures that cover examples of meetings in which you will work so that you are prepared for a real life setting.You will be able to implement my clear and simplified guidance on the most efficient way to obtain formal interpreting certification that does not require a university degree.You will be able to apply different methods that will help you find work and gain clients by marketing your interpreting services.<
