About this course

In this course, you strengthen English skills for academic and professional thinking by exploring health and travel topics through vocabulary, reading, video, reasoning, and discussion. You first work with health-related content to use vocabulary in context, identify causes and effects, and apply steps for problem-solving. You practice explaining health challenges by looking at causes, effects, and possible ways to organize ideas clearly. You then move into travel-related content, where you use travel vocabulary and develop the ability to make and interpret predictions. You practice making predictions before, during, and after engaging with content, including ideas about travel experiences and future possibilities. Through readings, videos, comprehension checks, skill practice, discussion prompts, synthesis quizzes, and evaluation activities, you build confidence in analyzing information, discussing problems, and expressing future possibilities in English.
